BPS Global Awarded Franchise as Public Operator for HKIA Dongguan Logistics Park

BPS Global (Dongguan) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of BPS Global Group, recently secured the franchise contract to provide public operation services for the franchised cargo terminal at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) Dongguan Logistics Park. The Group is currently fully preparing for the overall operation and management of the project, aiming to build the largest and most efficient sea-air intermodal logistics hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

Covering a floor area of approximately 550,000 square meters, the HKIA Dongguan Logistics Park project will undergo testing in April 2027 and officially commence operations in June of the same year. We will ensure that the smart air cargo terminal's transport system operates under the instructions of the sea-air intermodal operation management system — loading palletised Unit Load Devices (ULDs) into specially customised shipping containers, transporting them to the pier via Intelligent Guided Vehicles, and shipping them directly to HKIA by vessel.

Future Plans: Developing a Permanent Logistics Park

To meet long-term development needs, the Logistics Park will fully integrate automated transport facilities and machinery, combined with the Internet of Things (IoT) and various innovative technologies, to continuously enhance cargo handling efficiency on site. As the world's first cross-boundary sea-air intermodal project with direct access to an airport's airside, the Group must ensure that IGVs seamlessly receive dispatch commands from the sea-air intermodal operation management system to transport containers to the pier for loading. This enables cargo arriving in Hong Kong to be transferred directly onto aircraft without requiring secondary security screening.
